In the meantime, please browse the committee descriptions below that will be available for registration to make your choices. Depending on the role, volunteers can register for more than one committee (for example, both Decorating and Prom Buddy).

Night to Shine Volunteer Committees

  • Activities/Floater Committee

    Plan and manage activity stations, including photo booths and games, to keep guests entertained and engaged.

    The Bag Organizer and Floater committees have been combined with Activities this year. Sign up to be involved in planning and supporting the special activities of the evening.

  • Admin/Registration Committee

    Oversee volunteer recruitment, check-in, and coordination, ensuring that all volunteers are informed, equipped, and supported throughout the event.

    Assist all committees with data management and system support. Intermediate level experience with Excel and Outlook desired.

  • Decorations Committee

    Design and set up decorations in the Christian Life Center and Narthexes, creating a welcoming and visually appealing environment for the event.

  • Food Prep Committee

    Prepare all food for the event, ensuring meals are cooked, organized, and ready for service.

  • Food Service Committee

    Serve food and drinks to guests, ensuring a smooth and hospitable dining experience in both the Christian Life Center and the Respite Room.

  • Golf Cart Chauffeur Committee

    Provide transportation for guests from parking areas to the event entrance using golf carts, ensuring easy and comfortable access.

  • Grand Entrance Committee

    Manage and organize the grand entrance, including the red carpet layout, decorations, and guest flow, ensuring a memorable and seamless arrival experience for all guests.

    Recruit local groups/clubs and paparazzi to cheer on the guests.

  • Honored Guest Committee

    Manage honored guest follow-up and check-in. Ensure that honored guests are welcomed and supported from registration to Night to Shine.

  • Inventory & Procurement Committee

    Manage all supplies and materials, including tracking inventory and handling any additional needs through donations, registries, and purchasing.

    Work with the Finance team to place orders, track donations, and reconcile purchases. Experience with Microsoft Excel is required.

  • Medical Committee

    Provide first aid and medical support, coordinating with local Emergency Medical Services to ensure the health and safety of all guests.

  • Prom Boutique Committee

    Organize and manage the Prom Boutique, where guests can select dresses, suits, accessories, and other items for the event, ensuring a welcoming and organized shopping experience.

  • Prom Buddies Committee

    Prom Buddies assist Honored Guest throughout the event, providing companionship and support to make the experience memorable and enjoyable.

  • Respite Room Committee

    Manage the Respite Room, offering a calm and comfortable space for caregivers, with a sit down dinner and attentive service.

  • Security & Safety Committee

    Ensure the safety and security of all guests and volunteers, coordinating with law enforcement and managing crowd control.

  • Sensory Room Committee

    Create and manage a Sensory Room, providing a calm, sensory-friendly space for guests who need it.

  • Set-Up & Tear-Down Committee

    Handle the physical setup of all event spaces, ensuring everything is in place for a smooth and organized event.

    Responsible for dismantling and cleaning up after the event, ensuring all spaces are returned to their original condition.

  • Special Car Ride Committee

    Provide a very special ride for our guests in the Red Carpet Parade, a drive around the building from the check-in area to the red carpet. Convertibles and custom golf carts are invited to sign up for this exciting aspect of the event.

  • Sponsorship (VIP Guest) Committee

    Recruit sponsors and manages VIP guests, ensuring they receive special attention and have a positive experience at the event.

  • Traffic Control Committee

    Direct and manage traffic flow, parking, and the special car route, ensuring a smooth and organized arrival and departure for all guests.

  • Volunteer Room Committee

    Manage the Volunteer Break Room, offering a calm and comfortable space for volunteers throughout the event.
