Rev. Ellen Pollock

Pastor Ellen was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, living there for 37 years. She graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and went on to work in marketing for a large corporation also located in Memphis. After a successful career in sales and marketing, Ellen accepted the call to full-time, vocational ministry. Ellen’s mother had spoken words about a life in ministry to her from a very young age. She graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary with a Master’s in Christian Ministries with a focus on fulfilling the requirements for ordination as a Deacon in the United Methodist Church as well as Christian Education.

Pastor Ellen is a lifelong United Methodist and a fully-ordained Deacon in the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church. In Ellen’s ministry at New Covenant, she provides leadership for the Discipleship, Congregational Care, First Impressions, and Student Ministries in addition to helping lead worship services.

Ellen has been married to the New Covenant Director of Worship, Sean Pollock, for over 20 years. Ellen loves the University of Memphis football and basketball seasons, looking forward to that time each year! Ellen and Sean enjoy going to concerts and Broadway shows, spending time with their best friends and family, traveling, and doing fun activities with their dogs.

“Our job is to love others without stopping to inquire whether or not they are worthy.” – Thomas Merton.
